The Climb: Meningitis Research Foundation Fundraiser
The Climb is a collection of LGBTQ+ short films that deal with themes of resilience and facing tough challenges. All ticket sales will be donated to Meningitis Research Foundation.
This screening will be hosted by Rebecca Row. Rebecca will be undertaking a Mt. Everest Trek Challenge to raise money for the Meningitis Research Foundation. This screening will contribute to her fundraiser.
Meningitis Research Foundation are fighting to defeat meningitis and septicaemia by 2030. Every year, there are around 2.3 million cases of bacterial and viral meningitis around the world, including Rebecca's father who luckily is now healthy. 1 in 10 people who get meningitis will die. The money from this fundraiser screening will be spent on conducting research into prevention, detection and treatment of the disease, raising awareness of meningitis and its symptoms, and providing support for those who have been affected by the disease.
