Premiere: Spectra
Spectra is a monthly screening of short films that celebrate bold, queer storytelling from emerging and independent filmmakers.
Hosted by The Arzner, London's only queer cinema, the program spotlights diverse voices and fresh perspectives from experimental gems to heartfelt narratives. It's not a festival. It's a regular platform. A place to watch, share, and connect through queer short films.
We will be screening:
- Treacle - Dir. Rosie Westhoff
When friends Jessie and Belle go away for the weekend and drunkenly hook up, what seems like an awkward slip up to a firmly heterosexual Jessie is in fact an incredible betrayal to bisexual Belle.
- Park Life - Dir. Marco De Luca
When two strangers meet in a park under the guise of a fleeting hookup, an unexpected connection turns a moment of cruising into the beginning of something real — a quiet, tender exploration of vulnerability, desire, and love in the most unlikely place.
- Fish - Dir. Ian Yarwood
After coming out as bisexual a little late in the game, a usually confident woman is plunged into new experiences. It feels like she’s losing her virginity all over again, but she slowly discovers her sense of self and how to wear it with ease.
- Say Grace - Dir. Phil Hawkins
Although now a nun, Teresa never got over Grace, the woman who broke her heart years before. When Grace shows up in church, Teresa has a life-changing choice to make.
- Conflicted - Dir. Marc-Antoine Turcotte
A short film about the internal struggles of dating and living with HIV today.
