Double Bill Q&A: Two Black Boys in Paradise + A Friend of Dorothy

To celebrate the end of Pride Month, we have a very special double bill Q&A of BAFTA-winning Two Black Boys in Paradise and Oscar-nominated A Friend of Dorothy. After the screening of these films, we will be joined by Dean Atta & Ben Jackson (writers & producers on Two Black Boys in Paradise) & Lee Knight (writer and director of A Friend of Dorothy) & James Dean (producer on A Friend of Dorothy).

Two Black Boys in Paradise (9 mins)

Eden (19) and Dula (18) are two Black boys on a journey of self-acceptance. Their love for each other, and their refusal to hide it, lands them in a paradise free from shame and judgement. Based on the poem by Dean Atta.

A Friend of Dorothy (22 mins)

A lonely widow's quiet life is upended when a teenage boy accidentally kicks his football into her garden.
